At the 9 month mark of twin motherhood, it came to be that we could not survive as a family without any income on my part. My statutory maternity pay was coming to an end, as was my little dream bubble of only having to worry about being mummy. I was at a crossroads.

A quote recently popped up on my social media that went something like this: When a Flamingo raises its babies, it loses its pink. The sheer intensity of raising an infant drains the mother of its famous pink colour. Eventually their colour returns; you will get your pink back.

For those of you who may not have heard the story of when I discovered I was having twins, it was the most magical moment of my life.
